The Place I Was Telling You About

Book Design

Challenge

Marcus Lloyd and R'el Dade are models and influencers who have created the lifestyle blog, This Is The Place I Was Telling You About, based on their shared love for food, photography, and travel. Over time their blog has gained thousands of followers and consistent requests for a physical city guide. In understanding what their followers wanted - something to hold, engage with, and show off - YC joined the team to design a book that perfectly showcased some of the bloggers' favorite spots in New York City.

Solution

Using Marcus and R'el's photo documentation of the city, we built a comprehensive guide to shopping, eating, drinking and staying in New York City. The City Guide features twenty-five recommendations across the boroughs, from chic hotels, third wave coffee shops, boutique shops, and exceptional restaurants, to some of the best cocktail bars in town.
