Nude Barre is category-defining intimate performance wear that offers twelve shades of flesh-toned tights, bralettes, and underwear to match the varying levels of melanin in skin tones.
Nude Barre looked to YummyColours to develop the brand’s strategy, visual identity, and messaging that respects the brand and its origins, speaks to its range of customers, and presents the different interests around its product offering. Nude Barre sought consistency in its brand expression visually, verbally, and through its content in a way that strongly impacted the world.
YC developed Nude Barre’s brand narrative that started from in-depth strategy work deeply rooted in the founder’s origins. We positioned Nude Barre in a personal, dynamic, and intentional way that one can see throughout every element of the brand—from product naming and tagline to the shade finder quiz on the website and editorial concepts. This strategy then informed the visual identity including logo, colour palette, typography and packaging design.






Product shades were renamed using times of the day. Time is a playful way to speak about skin tones and Nude Barre product shades palette. It’s a fun, easy-to-grasp system that avoids making any particular shade sound better or more important than another.






YummyColours has been one of the best decisions I have made for Nude Barre. Nude Barre was in a growth period, where we needed clear articulation of all that we offer and stand for. I was able to brain dump my vision and aspirations for Nude Barre and they came up with the most beautiful interpretation of that in our brand identity, narrative, and messaging.
